EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – The East Brunswick High School girls basketball team made Keith Lane’s coaching debut a victorious one, as the Lady Bears rode a strong second half to a 44-32 victory over Edison in the season debut for both teams.

After a close back and forth battle for the first half that saw EB leading 19-17 as the teams headed to the locker rooms, the Lady Bears pulled away in the second half to start the season on a winning note. Marisa Daniels led all scorers with 13 points. Maggie Johnson and Ashley Hunt each chipped in with 7 points each. 

The Lady Bears come back after Christmas with a game at South Brunswick.
