EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Nicholas Clemente held the Spotswood High School varsity baseball team to just two hits on Saturday, May 7 as East Brunswick High School defeated the Chargers 6-1.

Spotwood scored their only run of the game in the first inning. The Bears scored three runs in the third and added three in the fifth to seal the victory. Clemente struck out 13 batters and walked one in seven innings on the mound. He also scored two runs in the victory.

Juan Ganzaroli was two-for-four for the Bears, driving in four RBIs and scoring two runs. Chris Cap had two RBIs.

The loss is the second in a row for the Chargers. It drops their overall record on the season to 7-10. They are 6-6 in league play.

Spotswood will look to rebound against East Brunswick Tech on Monday, May 9 at the Spotswood High School Varsity Baseball Field at 4 p.m.
