METUCHEN, NJ - The East Brunswick boys soccer team erupted for five goals in the second half to pull away for an 8-3 boys soccer victory over St. Joseph on Monday.

Corrado Carbone and Josh Newton had two goals and one assist each for the Bears (4-0-1), who led, 3-0, at halftime. Poorav Desai added a goal and two assists, and Srihari Sudhir, Max Lee and Aaron Lucea each scored one goal for East Brunswick.

Matt Cruz, Justin Rafferty and Maxwell Shubert scored for St. Joseph (1-4). Gabe Espada and Keegan Roeder combined to stop four shots in the East Brunswick net.
