CRANBURY, NJ - A gas main break closed part of Route 130 south Thursday and caused the evacuation of some homes adjacent to the roadway, police said.
According to police, the gas main break was reported Thursday morning, causing the closure of Route 130 north and south bound lanes between Old Trenton Road and Station Road.
Police said that some houses backing Route 130 are being evacuated.
Fire, police and PSE&G are all on scene working to rectify the situation as quickly as possible, police said, and motorists should avoid the area and plan alternate routes.
