EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ —It is not every day that the East Brunswick Public Library Foundation can connect young readers with one of their favorite authors!
The New York Times Bestselling children’s author Dan Gutman is the featured guest a special event for families at the East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center Drive) on Thursday, May 23 at 5:30 pm.
A prolific children’s author, Gutman is best known for his My Weird School book series. Debuting in 2001, this series chronicles the adventures of a boy named A.J. and his friends and the misadventures they have at their school. He has written seventy books in this series.
Gutman has an entertaining lecture planned for children, focusing on his books and how he writes them. There will also be a question and answer period. The program is aimed at children in ages 2 and up.
Following his presentation, he will be signing copies of his books. Attendees can bring their own books; copies will also be available for purchase at the event.
The New York City based author is no stranger to the area; he graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1977 with a degree in psychology.
This program is free and open to the public. For more information about this and other upcoming events at the library, visit their website at www.ebpl.org/calendar.
