EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Goal prevention and control of the midfield are two ways the East Brunswick boys lacrosse team aims this season to improve upon the 11-6 record the program attained in 2017.

The entire starting defense and midfield returns for seventh-year head coach Rory Murray, who has 14 letterwinners overall returning from the 2017 team. That includes senior midfielders Timmy Smith (30 goals, 27 assists in 2017) and Jack Solimini (28 goals, nine assists) and junior midfielders Sean Kelliher (26 goals, 21 assists), Christian Perrine (71 percent face-offs won), J.T. Serrao and Bradley MacNiven.

The most experienced attacker is Tim Gudzak (25 goals, 20 assists).

"On defense, senior Robert Duncan will anchor a group of very athletic and hard-working young men," Murray said. "With juniors Josh Green, Stephan Berman and Nick Randzio (we hope) to improve on last year’s performance."

The goalies will be senior Christian Tarnofsky and junior Brian McDonald.

Last year, East Brunswick reached the Greater Middlesex Conference Tournament semifinals before losing to St. Joseph of Metuchen, 16-12.
