East Brunswick: Car Crash near Great Oak Park Injures Two

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick Police Department is investigating yet another accident on Ryders Lane.  This time, two local women were serioously injured in a crash near Winton Road by Great Oak Park.

According to a report issued by the EBPD today, at approximately 5:33 PM on Wednesday evening, Joann Kelly of East Brunswick was operating a 2005 Ford Focus east on Ryders Lane near Winton Road. Kelly attempted to make a left onto Winton Road and was struck by a 2009 Honda CRV operated by Maria Wiget of Milltown, NJ who was traveling west on Ryders Lane.

A juvenile passenger in Wiget’s vehicle was uninjured. Kelly and Wiget both sustained serious injuries as a result of the crash. They were transported to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital for treatment.

The crash is currently under investigation by the East Brunswick Police Department Special Operations Division. Anyone with information regarding the investigation is asked to contact Ptl.
