East Brunswick Day: Free Food, Fun, Community on September 23

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The Township of East Brunswick and sponsors Jane Mueller of REMAX and TAPinto East Brunswick, are excited to announce the 4th Annual EAST BRUNSWICK DAY to be held outdoors at the Community Arts Center on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 12:00 to 5:00 p.m. This special event acknowledges the many nonprofit, volunteer-based organizations in the Township and will also showcase local businesses the community has to offer. Over 125 exhibitors will participate with information, literature, demonstrations and giveaways at their booths.  


There will be continuous entertainment on the outdoor stage with performances by some of East Brunswick’s very talented youth.  DJ Wacky Wayne will be on hand along with Jeffrey Winston who will be the MC.  At 3:00 p.m., we will enjoy a classic rock concert of the Woodstock Era brought to us by Yasgur’s Farm.

All sorts of family fun activities will be set up throughout the grounds at the Community Arts Center.  The Magic 98.3 Van will be visiting from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.  Free Health Screenings will be done by St. Peter’s University Hospital’s Mobile Unit.  There will be Balloon Twisters and FREE Face Painting done by the East Brunswick Youth Council.  Also offered will be FREE inflatable rides and GaGa Pits.  The “Touch-A-Truck” display will have emergency vehicles from the East Brunswick Police Department, Rescue Squad, and Fire Districts, as well as Parks and Public Works vehicles.  The East Brunswick Youth Council will host a Silent Auction to support activities at the High School and to provide drug prevention education. 


Added to the event this year is the “Taste of East Brunswick”.  Many of East Brunswick’s food establishments will be participating with samples of their fine cuisine.  The public will pay a nominal fee to enter the tasting area and the proceeds will go to the East Brunswick Community Food Pantry.


VFW Post #133 will also be on hand with some BBQ favorites to purchase.  Proceeds will benefit the homeless veterans in need of emergency housing and supplies.
