EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - East Brunswick Police surveillance at the high school last week foiled the early-morning theft of valuable sports equipment.

On February 22, 2018 at approximately 12:38 am, Ptl. Dan Werner was on patrol in the area of East Brunswick High School when he observed a dark color SUV parked against the high school fence line, on Lycoming Lane, with the vehicle's trunk open and an unknown object hanging out.

Subsequent investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle, Jeffrey Cohen, 33, of Toms River, NJ, had stolen the high jump apparatus and hurdles, valued at $11,000.00, from a locked trailer on the high school grounds.
