East Brunswick Girls' and Boys' Track: Meet of Champions Roundup

COLUMBUS, NJ - A third-place finish for the girls' 4x100 meter relay team highlighted East Brunswick's performance in the NJSIAA Meet of Champions track and field event over the weekend.

The East Brunswick girls clocked in with a time of 47.45 in the 4x400 relay. Mariah Shummette, Shanelle Colmon, Deirdre Otoo, Gabrielle Blaustein, Carly Geletei, Maggie McGlynn, Victoria Constantin and Aya Zahtreh comprised the third-place team.

Colmon also finished eighth in the girls' 200-meter dash with a time of 25.28. Shummette placed 16th in the same event at 25.87.

Among the East Brunswick boys, Callan Davies came in fifth in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 53.52. Davies was also part of the East Brunswick boys team that came in seventh in the 4x100 meter relay. Davies, Alex Cameron, Joshua Newton, Deitric Murphy and Kyle Wiggins combined to run a team time of 42.40 in that event.
