Service adds joy to the season (and removes some of the stress)
East Brunswick Hadassah’s annual gift wrapping booth inside Brunswick Square Mall gives local residents the perfect opportunity to give back this holiday season in support of groundbreaking medical research, while getting help with one of the season’s time-consuming chores.
Since the annual gift-wrapping project began over 30 years ago, the chapter has raised thousands of dollars to support internationally recognized research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Israel in women’s health, gene therapy, bone marrow transplantation, stem cells, cancer immunotherapy and other areas. Its research has helped advance health care around the world. Treatment at Hadassah’s patient facilities is offered regardless of race, religion or ethnicity.
This year, the gift-wrapping service will operate December 8 through 24. Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Saturday; and noon to 9 p.m., Sunday through Christmas Eve. The booth is located in the Macy’s court inside the mall.
The service is a boon to shoppers who can choose from a variety of papers and ribbons to decorate gifts for the holidays and all occasions, including birthdays, babies, anniversaries and weddings. Prices range from $3 to over $10, depending on the size and complexity of the gift.
