EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick Police Department has issued the following advisories in anticipation of the impending snowstorm tonight:

The National Weather Service has issued a winter storm warning for our area starting at 6 p.m. tonight until 1 p.m. Friday. This is expected to be a major snow event (4 to 8 inches possible) affecting the evening and morning rush hours. The bulk of the snow will occur through the overnight hours. Expect high winds with gusts up to 35 mph. Temperatures falling into the teens by Friday morning with wind chill near 5 below zero.

A winter storm warning means significant amounts of snow, sleet and ice are expected or occurring. Strong winds are also possible. This will make travel very hazardous or impossible.

**Please be reminded that by township ordinance all vehicles must be removed from the streets in order to allow for snow removal. Failure to remove vehicles from the roadway prevents township personnel from being able to adequately plow snow.**

**There will be no trash or recycling pick-up tomorrow. Trash and recycling will be picked up on Saturday.**

**Clear a path to your front door and shovel around any fire hydrants on your property to assist Fire and EMS personnel in case of an emergency, and PLEASE do not shovel or blow snow in to the street.**
