EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - On September 15, 2017, patrol units responded to the Wal-Mart parking lot on Route 18 North for a motor vehicle accident resulting from a road rage incident. The investigation revealed that the victim and suspect were involved in a verbal dispute inside of Wal-Mart which later continued in the parking lot, according to a report issued by the EBPD yesterday on Facebook.

The victim entered his vehicle, and, as he was attempting to leave the lot, was struck from behind by a vehicle driven by the suspect, Jackie Allison, 24, of New Holland, Pennsylvania. Allison continued driving through the parking lot before coming to a stop on Tices Lane.

Both vehicles had significant damage and were later towed from the scene. Both Allison and the victim had a passenger with them at the time of the crash, but no injuries were reported.

Allison was placed under arrest at the scene and charged with Aggravated Assault and transported to  East Brunswick Police Headquarters, where he was processed and released.  In New Jersey, a charge of Aggravated Assault could lead to an extended prison term, a large fine, and a criminal record.
