EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - East Brunswick welcomed their newest resident to the medical and business corridor on Cranbury Road when Davita Dialysis held their Open House/Grand Opening Ceremony on May 1 at their new state of the art dialysis facility on Cranbury Road.  In welcoming patients, prospects, township officials, doctors, and other invited guests, Davita was able to show off the latest in dialysis facilities and equipment. This included brand new Fresenius dialysis machines, new chairs and tv monitors for the comfort of the patients, as well as numerous facility features which will make things very easy for the trained nursing and technical staff to care for their patients with the utmost of care during their two and three times weekly treatments.

Among the hallmark features of the new East Brunswick facility is a program Davita is promoting called Kidney Smart, which will be used to educate incoming dialysis patients and their families more about kidney disease and the dialysis process.  In specific the program will feature education around: How kidneys function and the common causes of chronic kidney disease (CKD), How medications, diet, and lifestyle choices work together to help keep you healthy, and What potential treatment options are available to you today, among them hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and home hemodialysis.

In his ribbon cutting remarks, East Brunswick Mayor David Stahl welcomed Davita to the medical community on Cranbury Road and pointed out the benefits of having such a cutting edge facility in town, and Dr. James Matera spoke about how Davita wishes to be a leader in the healthcare community and how they wish to become part of the fabric of East Brunswick.
