EAST BRUNSWICK—East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center) hosts two special programs to help high school students plan for college.
Kaplan Test Prep is holding a practice SAT and ACT test session on Saturday, November 12 at 12:30 pm. Students will have the opportunity to take a fully-proctored paper-and pencil exam to give them experience of being in the actual test environment. Following the test, results will be available.
The practice test takes approximately four hours. Test takers will need to bring a calculator, two #2 pencils, a fully charged web enabled device or smartphone, a snack and water. Registration for the practice test is required. It must be done online at http://kaplan.formstack.com/forms/ebpl.
The library is also hosting a scholarship hunting workshop with Nikki Bruno, educational consultant and president of Student Coaching Services, on Tuesday, November 15 at 7 pm. Topics covered include the different types of scholarships, where to find them and how to increase your chances of receiving one.
