EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - On Tuesday, Aug. 27 at approximately 10:51 a.m., East Brunswick Police units responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on Cranbury Road in front of Central School.
Phyllis A. Dean, 75, of East Brunswick was driving her 2005 Hyundai Elantra southbound on Cranbury Road approaching Central School. As she was approaching the school her vehicle ran off the roadway striking a curb with both drivers’ side tires.
Her vehicle then continued to travel southbound on Cranbury Road again failing to maintain its lane striking a telephone pole in front of Central School and coming to a final rest in the south bound lane. Trans Med Ambulance Service and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Paramedics arrived on scene and transported Ms. Dean to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where she was later pronounced dead at 2:27 p.m.
The circumstances surrounding the collision are currently being investigated.
