EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -  The East Brunswick High School field hockey team, in an initiative led by senior co-captains Jordyn Kamis, Cassidy Duhigg, and Kendal Taylor, are organizing a "Mad Hatter Drive"  to raise awareness of childhood cancer.

The team is collecting brand new, logo-friendly hats that are appropriate for kids. They must be brand new due to the low immune systems of the kids receiving the hats.

Hats will be collected at EBHS and Churchill from Sept. 26 through Oct. 6, which is Mad Hatters Day.  This first collection will become an annual event and team tradition.

If anyone who is not affiliated with the HS wishes to donate, they can contact The Mad Hatter Mom at EBHSFH@gmail.com, and she will pick them up.

Hats will then be wrapped and brought to the Pediatric Hemotology/Oncology Program, part of the Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital.
