EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ -  East Brunswick Boy Scouts of America Troops 223 and 132 joined the leadership of the East Brunswick Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks Lodge #2370 (BPOE) to retire dozens of American flags in the traditional fashion on Flag Day.

Scouts and Elks retired the flags according to the traditional method of burning them during a respectful ceremony, as per guidelines from the Boy Scouts of America.  Young people and adults come together for this event to show respect for the flags and to work together in an act of community service.
