EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Christian Sweeney and Brandon Bell each scored two touchdowns and Ridge won its third football game in a row to start the season with a 40-14 victory over East Brunswick Friday night.

Ridge receiver Bell caught five passes for 179 yards and two touchdowns, and Sweeney carried 18 times for 121 yards for the Red Devils, who led, 26-0, at halftime.

Senior quarterback Wesley Hudkins passed for three touchdowns for Ridge, completing 9 of 15 passes for 224 yards. His 51-yard TD pass to Hudkins in the first quarter got the scoring started. Hudkins also connected with Cameron Lloyd on an 8-yard TD pass in the second quarter and a 46-yard TD strike to Bell in the fourth quarter.

Jack Perry returned an interception 70 yards for a TD in the fourth quarter for Ridge. Perry also recovered a fumble.

The Red Devils finished with 435 yards of offense.
