EDISON, NJ - The J.P. Stevens girls basketball team used a big second quarter to boost it to a 55-50 victory over East Brunswick Thursday night.

Nicole Johnson scored 14 points for East Brunswick (7-5), which led, 14-12, after a quarter before J.P. Stevens surged to a five-points halftime lead.

Brianna Sliwinski finished with 13 points for East Brunswick.
