SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick girls basketball team lost its first game of the season on Thursday night, falling, 56-34, to South Brunswick.

East Brunswick (6-1) fell behind by 20 points after being outscored, 16-8, in the third quarter. Nicole Johnson led the Lady Bears with 20 points. The game was tied after one quarter, but the Lady Vikings (6-1) took control by outscoring EB, 16-4, in the second quarter.

East Brunswick will look to regain its winning form Saturday afternoon in a 2:30 p.m. home game against undefeated Morristown (7-0). Johnson leads East Brunswick with 14 points per game.
