EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick girls basketball team surged with a high-scoring fourth quarter, but it was not enough to overcome Piscataway in a 60-50 loss on Thursday night.

Nicole Johnson scored 18 points for East Brunswick (6-3), which trailed, 29-18, at halftime. The Lady Bears scored 24 points in the final quarter, cutting jnto Piscataway's 13-point lead after three quarters.

Alyssa Bondi scored 10 points for East Brunswick, which will play at 1 p.m. at Monroe on Saturday afternoon.
