PISCATAWAY, NJ - Piscataway erased a two-point deficit after three quarters and surged to a 46-38 girls basketball victory over East Brunswick Saturday afternoon.
Piscataway closed out the game with a 19-9 effort. Alyssa Bondi led East Brunswick with 15 points, as she connected on five 3-point baskets. Junior forward Nicole Johnson finished with eight points for East Brunswick (10-8), which made as many 3-point baskets (seven) as it had 2-point baskets.
Piscataway's record is 10-9, but the Chiefs are in second place in the Greater Middlesex Conference Red Division with a 9-4 record. The Bears stand in fourth place with a 7-6 mark in the Red Division.
