SPOTSWOOD, NJ - October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and the Golden Bear Chargers are hosting their third annual Play Against Breast Cancer event on Sunday, October 11 at  Spotswood High School on Summerhill Road.

The event will be held from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Residents are invited by the Golden Bear Chargers to come out and support the cause. According to the American Cancer Society, breast cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnoised in women "other than skin cancer" in the United States each year.

Entertainment will be provided by DJWW Enterprises. DJ Wacky Wayne will be on hand for music and dancing. There will also be a 50/50 raffle as well as a Tricky Tray.

Participants can get their face painted by Creative Entertainment as well as receive pink hair chalk streaks and even braids. Sparkle Spa will be in attendance to provide pink ribbon and glitter tattoos.

The Golden Bear Chargers are a member of the Central Jersey Pop Warner Conference. They provide a footballl and cheerleading program for children ages five through 15 in the communities of East Brunswick, Spotswood, Milltown and Helmetta.
