EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - members of the New Jersey Devils came to Lawrence Brook School to celebrate Lawrence Brook School's achievement in the Stick With It reading program, sponsored by PNC Bank. Lawrence Brook was selected as the winning school for having the highest rate of participation and the most minutes read.  Collectively, the students read over 319,000 minutes.

Each participating classroom received a welcome kit with gifts for each student, including autographed pictures of former Devils players Jim Dowd and Grant Marshall, two of the Devils Dancers, as well as the team mascot NJ Devs. Participating students also received a certificate at the conclusion of the program good for two complimentary tickets to a future Devils home game. Students also got to participate in shooting and passing drills with the devils players, and then got to take shots at goalie NJ Devs!

The idea was initiated by Lawrence Brook PTA Board member Leslie Jusinski and Reading Specialists Susie Lyons and Rebecca Weizman.  Congratulations to all who participated and to the teachers and parents who helped the students accomplish such a tremendous achievement!
