EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - East Brunswick’s diverse habitats are home to a wide assortment of beautiful butterflies. With warmer weather on the horizon, butterfly aficionados can learn about the different species that soon will be flying in “East Brunswick’s Butterflies: From Azure to Zabulon,” a photo-filled program presented by David Moskowitz at the East Brunswick Public Library, 7 p.m., March 29.

The program is part of the award-winning Option Green lecture series presented throughout the year by the Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission in collaboration with the library. All lectures are free and open to the public.

Moskowitz holds a Ph.D. in entomology from the Rutgers School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and works as an environmental consultant. He is chairman of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission and president of the Friends of the East Brunswick Environmental Commission. He was instrumental in the creation of the township’s Butterfly Park and co-founded National Moth Week, which is now an international citizen science project.
