EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ —Who doesn’t listen to podcasts these days? According to Edison Research, more than half of all Americans listen to these audio programs. If you have ever wanted to start recording a podcast, East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center) hosts the online presentation Podcasting 101: Getting Started and Finding Your Voice on Wednesday, July 22 at 6:00 pm.
Led by veteran podcaster Harry Marks, this workshop will guide the audience through the process of planning a podcast. Topics covered include hardware and software options for all budgets, how to launch your podcast, and how to build an audience of loyal listeners.
An accomplished podcaster and author from New Jersey, Marks is the creator of The Shelf Life: A Podcast Sitcom, the co-host of The Home Work podcast, and a writer for Aaron Mahnke’s Cabinet of Curiosities from broadcasting giant iHeartMedia.
Podcasting 101: Getting Started and Finding Your Voice is presented on the Zoom platform. Information about registering for this program can be found online at the library’s website, www.ebpl.org. This program is free and open to the public, thanks to a generous sponsorship from the Friends of the East Brunswick Library.
