BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Baseball fans will be transported to 18th century New Jersey on Thursday June 14 as Crossroads of the American Revolution and the Somerset Patriots celebrate Revolutionary Spirit night against the York Revolution at TD Bank Park in Bridgewater.

Attendees at the 7:05 p.m. game will be welcomed to step into the past with hands-on demonstrations and conversations with costumed reenactors representing New Jersey historic sites and interpreter groups in Somerset, Morris, Union and Monmouth Counties.

Fans will be immersed in the Revolutionary era as they approach the ballpark, greeted by encampments of the 2nd New Jersey Regiment and the Sable Soldiers of the American Revolution, and a patrol of the 17th Regiment of Infantry. The first 500 children through the turnstiles will receive a small 13-star flag from a reenactor portraying U.S. flag designer Francis Hopkinson. Throughout the game, George Washington, Ben Franklin and Somerville’s official town crier, Lazarus Turner, will meet and greet fans on the ball park's concourse. The Fifes and Drums of the Old Barracks will perform authentic 18th century tunes, plus, be on the lookout for surprise performances from reenactors and actors from the Heritage Trail Association and Middlebrook Theatrical Society!
