EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ --Rose Barsotti, who spent much of her life as a wig maker in New York City, celebrated her 100th birthday Thursday, July 13, 2017, at her home at The Chelsea assisted living residence, 606 Cranbury Road.
Mrs. Barsotti was congratulated by East Brunswick Mayor Brad Cohen and surrounded by her large family and friends, some of whom came from Long Island.
Originally from New Haven, CT, Mrs. Barsotti lived most of her life in Greenwich Village when she worked for a manufacturer of wigs. Her late husband worked for the same company making mannequins. She later moved from New York City to North Bergen, NJ, then to The Chelsea last year.
Present at today’s birthday party were her daughter, son, granddaughter, great granddaughters and niece, along with friends from the Chelsea.
