NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ - Grammy-award winning jazz pianist and Milltown native David Kikoski is performing at a release party for his latest CD, "Sure Thing" at Tavern on George on Thursday, February 25 from 7 pm. to 10 p.m. with a special show featuring bassist Boris Kozlov. Kikoski and Kozlov are both Grammy-award winning musicians and frequently perform together with the Charles Mingus Big Band. Thursday's special performance and release party is hosted by the New Brunswick Jazz Foundation.

Kikoski grew up in Milltown and began playing piano at the age of six and moved on to playing in rock and jazz bands throughout middle and high school before attending the Berklee College of Music in Boston. His professional career launched after graduation in New York City and includes performing on more than 100 records and CDs. Kikoski has 14 of his own records and won a Grammy Award with Charles Mingus Big Band. He also has a Grammy nomination with the Roy Haynes Quintet. In addition to his performances, Kikoski gives clinics at the Rutgers University Jazz Program.
