EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ – Playhouse 22, East Brunswick’s Community Theater, presents the Broadway smash-hit, Monty Python’s Spamalot, opening Friday, November 8 at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center.  The show runs through November 24.  Performances are Friday evenings at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.

Directed by Mark Kalet of South Brunswick, along with Musical Direction by Rory Chalcraft of South River and Choreography by Jaime Moritz of East Brunswick; Spamalot is loosely based on the cult film classic, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.  Like the film, the musical is a highly irreverent parody of the Arthurian Legend.

The original 2005 Broadway production won three Tony Awards, including the Tony Award for Best Musical of the 2004–2005 season and received 14 Tony Award nominations.

Tickets are $22/adults and $20/seniors and student and can be purchased online at Playhouse22.org, by calling the Box Office at (732) 254-3939 or at the Box Office window.

Playhouse 22 is East Brunswick’s Community Theater troupe.  They are conveniently located at the East Brunswick Community Arts Center at 721 Cranbury Road, East Brunswick.
