PISCATAWAY, NJ – Rutgers Athletics has named Lyft its first ever official gameday rideshare partner, offering fans another way to safely get to and from High Point Solutions Stadium.

Beginning on Friday, fans who download the Lyft app can locate their rides in newly designated pick up and drop off locations during all football games at the stadium, and at men’s and women’s basketball games and wrestling matches at the RAC, said officials in a news release.

“It is essential that our fans receive optimal service for the entirety of their game day experience,” said Rick Thorpe, Rutgers’ Senior Associate Athletic Director for External Affairs and Strategic Communications. “Transportation is a key element in this.”

“The Scarlet Knights have an exciting season ahead of them, and through our partnership with Rutgers, fans can depend on Lyft for a safe and reliable ride along the ‘Banks of the Old Raritan’ as they travel to and from gameday,” said Ann Ferracane, General Manager of Lyft New Jersey.

“With new designated drop-off and pick-up zones, passengers can better navigate among the crowds of fans to find their ride quickly,” she added.

The Scarlet Knights take on the University of Washington in their season opener on Friday night, Sept. 1st at High Point Solutions Stadium.

During football games, the drop off location will be just west of the roundabout across from the Blue Lot, and the dedicated pick-up location is in Lot 49 on Frelinghuysen Road.
