NJ League of Conservation Voters: Diegnan, Karabinchak are Strong Environmental Stewards for NJ’s 18th District

The New Jersey League of Conservation Voters (New Jersey LCV) is pleased to announce its endorsement of New Jersey Sen. Patrick J. Diegnan Jr. and Assemblyman Robert Karabinchak to represent the 18th legislative district.

New Jersey LCV represents New Jersey residents who are committed to a cleaner environment and are prepared to vote for pro-environment candidates.

“Sen. Diegnan and Assemblyman Karabinchak are faithful stewards for the environment,” said Ed Potosnak, New Jersey LCV’s executive director.

“Sen. Diegnan has earned our endorsement previously and we are proud to endorse him again to continue the work of his predecessor, Sen. Peter Barnes, one of the Senate’s biggest environmental champions,” said Potosnak.  “His running mate, Assemblyman Karabinchak, has spent a career in private and public service fighting for environmental conservation - especially in renewable energy.”

Diegnan, who has been in the Assembly for 14 years, moved to the Senate this year to fill the vacancy left by Barnes. Karabinchak, a former Edison councilman, was tapped earlier this year to fill Diegnan’s seat in the Assembly.

"I am proud to once again receive New Jersey League of Conservation Voters' endorsement; it means a great deal to me,” said Diegnan. “Protecting our state's resources is something I'm proud to have worked for as an Assemblyman and plan to continue doing as the Senator of the 18th district."

Said Karabinchak: "New Jersey League of Conservation Voters is a leading voice in Trenton for advancing smart environmental policies and I'm honored to receive their endorsement. The 18th district has a strong history of supporting environmental protections and I'm excited to continue in that tradition."

The 18th district consists of seven municipalities in Central New Jersey’s Middlesex County. More information about Diegnan and Karabinchak can be found at:
