PISCATAWAY, NJ – Christopher Koller, 39 of Piscataway was arrested and charged on Tuesday with the murder of a Raritan woman who was found dead outside his Pond Lane home early that morning.

Middlesex County Prosecutor Andrew C. Carey and Capt. Scott Cartmell of the Piscataway Police Department said police were called to Koller’s home at 1:04 a.m. where they discovered Beth Bezek, 31 lying outside. She was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:33 a.m.

Koller was charged after investigators found that Bezek, who was visiting Koller at his home, sustained what appeared to be blunt force trauma to her head.

Autopsy results from the Middlesex County Medical Examiner’s Office were not immediately available, but it appeared the victim suffered a severe head injury, police said.

Koller remains in custody in lieu of $1 million bail.
