EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Playhouse 22, East Brunswick’s Community Theater troupe, presents the musical, Mame.
The show follows the whirlwind adventures of an unconventional aunt and her nephew with a rogue’s gallery of memorable characters, plus hilarious encounters with proper society. Mame is based on a book by Jerome Lawrence and Robert Edwin Lee and music and lyrics by Jerry Herman and opened on Broadway in 1966, starring Angela Lansbury and Beatrice Arthur.
Playhouse 22’s production is directed by Gerry Appel with music direction by Rory Chalcraft and choreography by Nancy Takacs.
The show runs November 7 - 23. All performances are Friday evenings at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m.
