EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - East Brunswick, Milltown and Spotswood residents are urged to use caution this morning, May 1, on area roads. 

More than 5 inches of rain has caused flooding problems on local roads and highways throughout the area.  Among some of the key roads impacted by the flooding are areas that have experienced severe flooding during past major rains, such as Route 18 in both directions near Milltown and Cranbury Roads, Washington Avenue in Milltown near the area by the Milltown Post Office, as well as areas near Main Street in East Brunswick and Spotswood. 

Runoff from the storms is expected to continue impacting the area during the day today, as well as more rain being forecast later in the morning and early afternoon. Residents are advised to use extreme caution when driving in the area. If you see a road that appears to be flooded, ASSUME THAT IT IS, and do not drive through it.
