SPOTSWOOD, NJ - The Spotswood Recreation Department is hosting an additional Rutgers SAFETY coaching class for future youth coaches in the area.

SAFETY stands for Sports Awareness for Education Today's Youth. In order to be a youth coach in any sport, completing the class is required by the state of New Jersey. Attending the Rutgers SAFETY class satisfies that requirement.

The class will be held on October 3 at the Spotswood High School Media Center from 9 a.m. until noon. The cost of the class is $30.50. All participants must pre-register for the class and will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. Walk-ins will not be allowed to register on the day of the program.
