WEATHER THREAT: Storms this evening June 23, heavy rain AM Saturday
TIME PERIOD: Severe: 6 - 11 PM Today | Flooding: 3 - 9 AM Saturday

The threats come thru in several "waves" later on this afternoon thru Saturday morning. There is likely to be a few breaks in the cloud cover this afternoon, which will help to destabilize the area and provide the energy for thunderstorms.

While an isolated shower or storm this afternoon cannot be ruled out, the most severe threat really gets going after 6PM.

While these storms are still scattered, they have a better chance to be severe through this evening producing possible dime-quarter size hail and damaging wind gusts for 45-60mph+

These storms may have the potential for 1"/hr+ rain rates leading to poor drainage and roadway flooding.

The "severe" threat wanes toward 11PM.

There may be a break at this point into part of the overnight, before the main cold front approaches and brings a round of rain with locally heavy downpours between 3AM and 9AM.
