Our mission at TAPinto is to revive local journalism to provide objective, high-quality coverage of the stories that matter to the communities we serve. Research has consistently shown that local news coverage is vital to our democracy and our civic lives. That’s why coverage of local elections is so important, particularly as sources of local news become more regionalized or disappear altogether.
This year, TAPinto has continued to expand coverage of local elections, from school board to State Assembly, across New Jersey, providing voters with truly local, independent and objective news.
Below you can see a sampling of some of the stories our TAPinto sites were covering this election cycle.
