Three East Brunswick Wrestlers Win in Region 5

FLEMINGTON, NJ - Three East Brunswick wrestlers finished first in the NJSIAA Region 5 tournament over the weekend.

Mitchell Polito was the winner at 113 pounds with a major decision, 11-1, over his opponent Jack Bauer from Hunterdon Central, the host school. Polito is now 31-0 this season and 68-6 in his career.

Mark Schleifer took the honors at 120 pounds, winning a 7-4 decision over Hunter Graf of Hunterdon Central. Schleifer raised his record to 35-2 this season. The senior's career record is 93-17.

Alec Gleason was the winner at 127 pounds with a 12-4 victory over Peter Nace of Hunterdon Central. Gleason, a senior, is 32-3 this season and 75-19 over his four-year career.
