SPOTSWOOD, NJ - On Saturday, March 4, a Beef and Beer Fundraiser will be held at the Spotswood Fire House from 6:30 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 per person and include a buffet dinner, beer, wine, soda and an evening of entertainment. All of the proceeds from the event will go towards Hometown Heroes.

Hometown Heroes is a non-profit organization that works to assist communities across the United States in times of crisis, large or small. Michael Schwartz started the organization in 2008 after contacting Big Brothers/Big Sisters to learn more about how he could get involved in volunteerism.  Hometown Heroes lends a hand during big catastrophes such as Hurricane Sandy. However, they will also assist a homeless person in need or a family dealing with a life-threatening illness. The organization's office is located in Toms River, New Jersey.

For tickets to the March 4 fundraiser, telephone 732-245-2273 and leave a message. Tickets can be paid for at the door. The Spotswood Fire House is located at 495 Main Street.
