EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - To help families get ready for a school year from home, East Brunswick Public Library and ProFysio Physical Therapy are hosting the online workshop “Successful Remote Learning: Workstation Setup, Stress Management and Exercise” on Thursday, September 24 at noon.
With the new school year partially taught remotely, there are many concerns about how students will cope with their household classroom. Dr. Nichole Chaviano and Dr. Leonard Somarriba of ProFysio Physical Therapy will present practical strategies to create a healthy desk station for your child, reduce and manage stress for parents and children, and exercise.
Dr. Chaviano, PT, DPT, ITPT, is the proud Clinic Director of the ProFysio Physical Therapy – East Brunswick. She earned her Bachelors of Science Degree from the University of Delaware in Exercise Physiology, and Strength and Conditioning. She continued on to earn her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Rutgers University and is a certified ImPACT Concussion Management professional.
Dr. Somarriba earned his Bachelors of Science from the University of Connecticut, completed a Residency at the Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy in Boston, and his Doctorate from the University of Montana. With over fifteen years of experience, he co-founded Pro-Fysio in 2013 with the goal of the company to change the perception of outpatient physical therapy in our community to one of treatment and service that is effective and efficient.
