EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ—East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center) hosts the special program “Coping With Aging Parents” on Wednesday, May 30 at 7:15 pm.
Led by counselor Tara Arhakos, this program is for care-givers of aging parents, a task that can impact both emotionally and physically. It can be extremely overwhelming to raise children, help grandchildren and care for elderly family at the same time. The goal of the program is to provide the support for attendees to discuss their personal experience.
Arhakos is a Licensed Professional Counselor through the state of New Jersey and a National Certified Counselor through the National Board of Certified Counselors. She has worked at various non-profit agencies and has experience with clients in the adult and adolescent populations, ranging from those experiencing mood or anxiety disorders, relationship or self-esteem issues, post-traumatic stress disorder and other disorders.
This program is offered through the library’s award-winning Just For The Health of It consumer health and wellness information initiative. For more information about health programs and resources available through the library, visit www.wellinks.org.
