EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ—Looking for a new job? East Brunswick Public Library (2 Jean Walling Civic Center) is here to help. The library offers a special program called “Acing the Interview” on Saturday, June 16 at 10:30 am, which is designed to help jobseekers.
“Acing the Interview” focuses on what many feel is the most stressful part of the job search process: the interview. The workshop shares the necessary tools to conduct successful interviews in person, on the phone or online. Learn how to think like the employer, prepare for the conversation, make a positive impression, and follow up effectively. The program is led by Sonal Shukla.
Sonal Shukla is an information specialist with experience in the fields of pharmaceuticals, healthcare, business and publishing. She holds a Master of Library Science degree from Rutgers University and a Consumer Health Information specialization from the Medical Library Association. Having her own experiences as a job candidate and perspective as a hiring manager, she will provide several tips and tricks to get through a successful job interview.
“Acing the Interview” is a free program. Registration is recommended. To register, call the library at 732-390-6767 or go to the library’s online calendar at www.ebpl.org/calendar.
The program is presented through the New Jersey Career Connections program, a job search and career navigation service offered at East Brunswick Public Library through a partnership with the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development and the New Jersey State Library.
