MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ - On Saturday, July 20, 2019 from 1-4 pm at The Lodge at Thompson Park located at 1701 Perrineville Road, Monroe Township, NJ the Middlesex County Freeholders invite residents to a new and creative way to look at books as objects of art.

Join us to give new life to an old book! Artist Karen Guancione will teach the class a variety of techniques, including relief sculpture carving, to repurpose an old hardcover book into a one-of-a-kind sculpture. Participants are encouraged, but not required, to bring a hardcover book, found objects and mementos, paper collage scraps, photos and recycled items such as buttons, shards, plastics, bottle caps, threads, fabrics or other colorful items to incorporate in their personalized sculptural book.

No prior experience needed.

Early registration is required, as limited space is available.
