EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - At Monday's Township council meeting, the East Brunswick Administration will discuss two initiatives to help businesses in East Brunswick affected by the COVID-19 shutdown.

In an interview with TAPinto East Brunswick today, Mayor Brad Cohen said that the Township Council will vote on a resolution to allow area restaurants to apply to extension of permits to allow outdoor seating.  This extension will last for 120 days and can be extended to accommodate the provisions of the shutdown as established by Governor Murphy.  Interested businesses owners must apply to the township Planning Department.  There will be no charge for this extension, if approved.

Additionally, the Township is extending an invitation to East Brunswick businesses to have EBTV shoot a 2-3 minute free advertising clip that could be used by business owners during this period when their advertising budgets may be exhausted.

East Brunswick's Township council Meeting will be held on Monday, May 18.  Residents can follow the meeting live by clicking here.
