Dear East Brunswick Community,
First, thank you for all you are doing to support, acknowledge, and congratulate the EBHS Class of 2020! We appreciate every gesture of support for our students, and we could not have accomplished the various celebrations throughout the town without you.
We would like to culminate the SENIOR WEEK festivities on Wednesday, June 17, 2020 with a 1:00 PM COMMUNITY CLAP OUT where everyone in the entire town of EB steps outside and claps for 5-10 minutes or so to celebrate the Graduating Seniors as well as every class that is transitioning to a new school. We have chosen 1:00 PM on June 17th as that would typically be when the Seniors would be tossing their caps in the air and exiting their graduation ceremony.
It would be really fun to see the entire town outside to wish our students well this year – who knows – maybe this will become an annual tradition to celebrate the end of a school year!
We’ve seen so many innovations in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic – and although they cannot replace the comradery of in person events – the virtual celebrations have been meaningful to all involved.
Please, if you are able, share the Wednesday, June 17th 1:00 PM Community Clap Out with as many people as you can. We want the EBHS Class of 2020, and all of our students, to know that they have our support and that we are very proud of their tenacity and accomplishments this year.
