EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - The East Brunswick Police Department and Saker Shop-Rite of East Brunswick have combined efforts with the "Blue Delivery Program," created to assist older adults 65+ and families with special needs in our East Brunswick community.
Between the hours of 10 and 4 on Monday or Friday, qualified residents - people who are over 65 and have no other way to get to the store safely or people with special needs - are asked to call Jean Bartels at Shop-Rite at 732-257-7575, extension 3901 or 3902 to place an order. An East Brunswick Police Officer will pick up and deliver the order to the resident's home. Participants are notified that an order cannot include tobacco products, medical prescriptions, some over-the-counter medications and items that are not available at a particular time at the store.
This is a free program and tipping is not permitted.
If a participant wishes to make a donation to the East Brunswick PBA, he or she can visit www.pba145.com or send a check to PBA Local #145, PO Box #4, East Brunswick, NJ, 08816.
