EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ - Stop & Shop East Brunswick, located on Route 18, raised more than $10,000 this year for the American Cancer Society’s Making Strides Against Breast Cancer, all part of Stop & Shop’s annual “Pink Ribbon” campaign.
From Oct. 11-27, Stop & Shop stores across New Jersey, New York City and Long Island collected donations at checkout in the amount of $1, $3 and $5 in support of the American Cancer Society and the fight against breast cancer. From these 136 stores, Stop & Shop raised a total of $500,000. 100% of these funds go to the American Cancer Society and will be used in breast cancer treatment and research, as well as for patient services and support.
This donation was made possible the Stop & Shop’s generous customers and associates, like those in East Brunswick.
Additionally, Stop & Shop served as the flagship sponsor for the Making Strides walk in Pt. Pleasant, as well as provided volunteers and water donations for several other Making Strides walks across New Jersey.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer is the largest network of breast cancer awareness events in the nation, uniting more than one million participants to celebrate breast cancer survivors, pay tribute to loved ones lost, and raise funds for the American Cancer Society.
