NJ LEGISLATIVE DISTRICT 18  – Members of the New Jersey 18th Legislative District, Senator Patrick Diegnan (D-South Plainfield), Assemblywoman Nancy Pinkin (D-East Brunswick), and Assemblyman Robert Karabinchak (D-Edison) announced on Wednesday, October 23rd, that Triple C Housing, Inc. has been approved to receive a $700,000 award from the New Jersey Department of Community Affairs. “We’re glad to see great organizations based in Middlesex County, like Triple C Housing, receive support for their efforts to provide affordable housing opportunities for those in need,” said Senator Diegnan.

This award provides funds for the project known as “Beatrice Parkway Housing,” which will consist of the acquisition and rehabilitation of an existing two family structure to create two rental units located at 915 Beatrice Parkway, Edison, NJ.

“One of my top priorities is to bring as much federal and state money as possible back to our District. I’m glad this grant will provide steady housing for those with accessibility issues,” said Assemblyman Karabinchak.

Assemblywoman Pinkin added, “I am pleased to see this grant has been awarded to Triple C Housing, a well deserving organization that supports NJ’s most vulnerable in times of crisis. Triple C Housing works to strengthen community support networks by developing affordable housing and providing quality care to those facing homelessness and institutionalization.”

The National Housing Trust Fund was established in 2008 after Congress passed the Housing and Economic Recovery Act. Its aim is to build, rehabilitate, preserve, and operate rental housing for extremely low income people. In FY 2019, New Jersey’s Department of Community Affairs was allocated just under $7 million through the Fund.
